Solve Your Arlo Device Appears Offline Issue with These Simple Steps

  Here Are The Steps To Perform Troubleshoot When Arlo Camera Is Offline: 

 First, unplug the Arlo camera and remove the battery, then reinsert it and notice the behavior of the light when the door is closed. 


  • If the LED does not blink, then check if the battery is properly installed or not. 

  • If the light double blinks amber, it means the battery is low. 

  • And if the battery is dead or low, then you have to insert a fully charged battery into the camera. 

  • If the light does not start blinking when the battery is dead or low, it might be turned off in the Arlo camera’s settings. If you turned off the light completely, then log out of the app and log back in again. If the camera is still offline then try to move it to the place where it can have better mobile coverage. If that does not solve your issue then you might have to reset the Arlo camera. 

  • Now, if the LED starts blinking blue then the camera is starting up. 

  • Wait for 30 seconds for the LED pattern to stop. 

  • Note the behavior of the LED after the Arlo camera is done starting up. 

  • Now, the LED will start blinking in blue rapidly, and the camera is connected with the cloud. 

  • Log out of the app on the device you are using and go back to log in again. If the camera is still offline, then visit Arlo support to talk with the expert. 

  • The LED blinks purple and blue, and then the camera is connecting to the cloud and the network. 

  • Now wait for the behavior of the LED to stop charging and you have to check it again. 

 The LED is blinking blue and amber 

If the LED of your Arlo camera is blinking amber and blue then it means it is receiving a software update. Do not open the battery and unplug the camera until the update gets completed and the camera is done with the rebooting. Now, wait for the LED to turn off for various seconds, turn back on, slowly start blinking blue for 25-30 seconds, and settle into a new form of behavior. 

If the LED starts blinking blue slowly during the whole process of startup, then it will show a different color before it turns off, the LED might be turned off in the camera settings. If the camera is still offline and you missed noticing the behavior of the LED before it gets turned off, then you have to repeat steps 1 and 2.
