Method 1: Arlo Security Camera is Not Connecting to the Network Correctly

 

  • Make sure to use the 2.4 GHz network of the WiFi to connect with the Arlo Security camera.
  • Ensure that your Arlo camera and smartphone are connected to the same WiFi network.
  • Enter the correct SSID and the password because both are case-sensitive.
  • Place the Arlo camera at a distance of 12-15 feet from the wireless router until the Arlo security setup is completed.
  • If while-colored LED light blinks for more than 120 seconds, then you need to press the sync button in order to connect with the wireless network. 
  • Insert the active SIM card in the Arlo virtual camera to properly function.

 

Method 2: Issues during connecting Arlo Essential Spotlight Camera with Arlo App

 

  • Try to restart your smartphone or tablet. 
  • Reinstall the Arlo app on your device and try to connect again.
  • Make sure that your smartphone or tablet is connected to the home wireless network rather than cellular data. 
  • Start the Arlo base station again. You have to add the camera and base one more time. 

 

Method 3: Arlo Camera is not charging 

 

  • If your Arlo device is not sufficiently charged, then you may face the issue. So, make sure that your device is charged completely.
  • Update the firmware to the latest available version. Check whether your camera is getting the solid signals or not. 
  • Make sure that the Arlo camera battery is charged sufficiently as it updates the device in less time. 

 

Method 4: Arlo Camera is not turning on

  • If your Arlo camera is not turning on then remove all the devices that are connected with it from the app. 
  • After that, press the reset button on the base unit and hold it until the LED light appears on it. 
  • Thereafter, wait for some time until the power light and internet light turn green.
  • Now, launch the app and the base station along with the device.
  • Once you add the base station then sync the Arlo camera.
